How WIO handles privacy on this site

What WIO measures

WIO uses only free, coarse measurement: aggregate Google search discovery and indexing information, plus local request counts, response status, and timing for service health. This is enough to see whether watta.dev is discoverable and serving traffic, but not to identify visitors, reconstruct journeys, rank individual page use, or measure interaction funnels.

The tools

Google Search Console covers exactly the https://watta.dev/ URL-prefix property and excludes every other WIO hostname. It adds no browser tag and does not measure the management dashboard or Streamlit rollback standby.

WIO's Traefik proxy keeps a bounded local operational access log. It is not a browser analytics provider, receives no interaction events, and sends no log data to a third-party analytics service.

What is collected

Search Console provides the owner account with aggregate Google search performance and indexing information, including search terms, impressions, clicks, and indexed public pages. WIO does not add any Google script or credential to the viewer.

The local operational log keeps only the UTC time, HTTP method, response status, duration, and internal router, service, and entry-point names for each proxied request.

What is never collected

The operational log drops URL paths, query strings, fragments, request and response headers, cookies, bodies, hostnames, client IP addresses, ports, usernames, user agents, and referrers. It therefore cannot contain WIO directory or explorer search text, entity names, evidence or source ids, or CSV contents.

The viewer sends no page-view or product-interaction events and uses no persistent identifier, fingerprinting, session replay, heatmap, advertising, retargeting, or person-level profile.

Cookies and storage

WIO's measurement uses no client-side analytics script and sets no analytics cookie, local storage, session storage, or persistent browser identifier.

Retention and deletion

The local operational log rotates daily and keeps at most 14 compressed rotations. Search Console data remains in the private owner account under Google's controls; WIO does not copy reports into its application database or public repository.

Opting out

There is no WIO analytics script or provider request to opt out of. Visitors using Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control receive the same zero client-side tracking requests as every other visitor. Activity on Google Search is governed by Google's own settings and privacy policy.

Data processing

Operational request records stay on WIO's server. Google processes Search Console information under its own terms and privacy policy for the authenticated owner account; WIO does not copy account details, reports, or exports into its application database or public repository.
