Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

It definitely does - A $200 meal for two is expensive almost anywhere, and shouldn't result in a $1 3d-printed garbage gift. Manhattan isn't actually the best place to compare-to, because of the availability of pretty good restaurants the prices aren't outrageous. You can get a really nice meal for two for $100 pretty easily. I get your point, but either way the actual price **does** matter when deciding whether a gift makes sense.

  2. Comment

It's not really the matter of discussion. $200 meal in Manhattan isn't the same $200 meal in Minsk. Right? The meal was in fact close to $200 but it still doesn't say much about the restaurant's caliber itself.

  3. Comment

Sorry, but if you're going to reiterate, multiple times, how expensive of a place it is you really need to tell us what that means. Saying it's "2-3 times more for a meal than I usually do at the restaurants I normally visit" means completely nothing, because if you normally go to the corner shack for $5 meals that means you paid $10-$15 for this one, and a gift of that caliber is totally fine. If you normally pay $30-$40 a meal and this one was $80-$120 then that's a wildly stupid gift to have received. The relative cost to other places doesn't mean anything when we're looking at a gift and trying to determine if it's acceptable. There's no reason a restaurant getting $30 for a meal would be giving out nice gifts, but if you paid $200 they really should be giving out something nicer.

Do you have another printer laying around? As a precaution, you sort of want 3 printers before doing this. Cause if you forget one part or mess one up, you're screwed if you need to print something and don't have a running printer. Price also is a factor. Take a look at how much the hardware is. If it's up past $200, get a new Kobra X instead or something similar. If this is a hobby, you love to tinker (Good chance with two Enders) and enjoy it, forget everything I said above and just do it! (Still make sure you have all the parts & some spares printed before dissembly of course).

Ive seen them for more at other places. Books a million sells large versions of them for like $200. Its crazy
