Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

$10 a print hour + 5c a gram + $20/hr post processing time + material costs (magnets) + shipping supplies. But it's highly dependent on what you're selling. I do intricate/custom work. I eat the design cost but make up for it with the prints

Yes, indeed. You possess both the necessary equipment and the resources. I purchased a Star Wars Death Star art piece made of wood with laser etching and engraving. I later discovered by chance that one of my colleagues had bought the only other one available from the same vendor. The vendor had only produced two of these pieces. At the time, I didn't understand how they were created. And now I have a glowforge so I could just do it myself. I did negotiate a discount if I bought 3 pieces though. It's true that we often don't consider the cost of equipment and other expenses. For example, you might think you saved $20 on a dragon, but in reality, we often invest hundreds of dollars and hours to acquire it.

People absolutely hate on dragons and such in this sub and others, regardless of print quality or where it came from. If people didn't buy them, then people wouldn't be making them. They complain about "going to the trash", like 95% of the things everyone buys doesn't end up in the trash too. Plenty of comments in this thread are hating on the store where the 2 employees are here doing PR correcting their assumptions. Also $20 isn't crazy when you're selling as a business. Payment processor fees / storefront fees, all the expenses related to a BaM store like rent, utilities, insurance, permits, employees etc. Then you got self employment taxes. There is also return rates, chargeback scam risks, and a bunch of numerous other things that unless you are a business owner you typically aren't even aware, the cost of production is much smaller than the cost of doing business. You can get away with $5 dragons doing cash on facebook - which if you ever used FBM that is NOT worth the hassle, but it's much harder to do that online or a physical store and still make it worth the time and cover all the other expenses.

  4. Comment

I think it also depends on the store. I remember when they released the fallout Jones soda. My location had it for 17 dollars but anther listed it for 20

It is relatively cheap. But you need to get a decent modern printer or you will suffer. Something like A1 mini is great and affordable. Or w/e else, but don't get anything old (2+ years old) or cheap (<$250). For popular printers - you can get replacement parts for cheap. All you need is filament (here you can cheap out a lot - $6/kg Kingroon is about the same as $20/kg brand filament) and some basic tools (<$10 total).
