   Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra - Vertical Print bands - I've been printing on my Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra recently and am a long-time FDM printer and new coming SLA printer. Green lines are to indicate the layer direction, so those vertical bands are not layer lines. At first it looks like Z banding but it might not be as the lines are vertical? I keep finding when I look up the symptoms and was wondering if someone knew by vision what it was? So I printed this model flat. The vertical direction is somehow being produced.    Yes, no. These things are good to have around the house for various scrapping tasks. If you don't have them in your shop, you should. But they don't work for stuck 3d prints. I've tried FDM and Resin. These blades are softer than the 3d printed material, so they just deform. AGAIN: I love these blades and I used them for lots of scrapeing tasks where it is critical not to scratch the part surface.

   That layer line thickness however isn't FDM, so it is 100% a resin print. A smoked black resin. Guy who printed it should've taken more care of it. 2 min of sanding could've knocked off most of those blemishes on the top.

   the AI supervision of anything I print is an automatic no. Any device that phones home (eg, bambu printers) is also an automatic no - whether it's to snoop on what i'm building, stealing IP, or both. I have all the real machinery at home to make many of those "things", so I could do so already. Anything that is snooping on whatever I print will not be purchased, period. You could give it to me with a lifetime supply of precursor materials and it's still a no. Besides, let's say someone actually wanted to make a firearm. inclusions from FDM printing (assuming that's where you're going), make the use of such a device far riskier than it's worth. Even a stamped rifle like a kalashnikov is likely safer than what an FDM printed device would be. I'm not about to pressure test an FDM firearm. Good luck on your printer - but know your audience.
