   How would I go about splitting these parts for printing to later join them together? - First off, I have to apologize: I'm not great at CAD and I'm using Tinkercad. With that out of the way, I'm curious about how I would be splitting this model. The first picture is the roundhouse itself and the second is the lid that will be using magnets to snap onto the base. I know I'll have to separate the turntable and then I'll be splitting both the top and the bottom into 3 separate sections each (about where the trusses are). I'm wondering how I should design these splits so I can put them back together after they are printed. I've seen dovetails as an option, but the walls are only 8mm thick, so only the base will snap together but not the walls. Any suggestions would be great. Edit: this will be for my 2 year old son.

   Working Kylo Ren Lightsaber Replica - By working, I mean that you can wear it and press the button - no lasers :( I made it with the goal of making an actual screen-accurate replica of the TROS Kylo Ren hilt. The designs that I've seen aren't like that. And despite making it in Tinkercad, it assembles completely with no glue because of my threaded frame design that keeps it tensioned and durable. The Kylo Ren hilt has a unique belt clip design that is (in my opinion) less than practical and reliable. I did manage to get it working nicely, though.    I would recommend you show him the design side, also, via TinkerCAD, or if he's got a more artistic bent as well as craftsman, something better for sculpting - Blender, Fusion? Not sure. He might be very excited to design exactly what he wants, as well as being able to download and print something. I'm less than a decade younger, and I still feel good on a day like today when Im working on an nice enclosure for BT adapters in our school's Fitness Room.

   If you can't install anything, a browser tool is the way to go. Tinkercad works for a blocky, stylised mask, and if you have a clear reference image of the Intern, an image to 3D generator can give you a starting shape. 3D Magic does that from a single photo (full disclosure, I'm on the team), but it exports GLB, so you'd need to convert to STL or 3MF before slicing, and expect to clean up the mesh. Whichever route you take, scale it to your daughter's measured face width and keep it a thin shell of about 1.5 to 2 mm, so it stays light. In Bambu Studio, 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, tree supports and a split into two halves if it's wider than the P1S bed will take. Halloween is the real print speed limit, so test the fit with a quick low-detail draft first.

   For designing or modifying models you need a PC or at least a tablet (better a PC), and regarding the software I do not recommend TinkerCAD anymore, but layerling.com instead. It's like TinkerCAD, but better.
