Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I haven’t heard of any exchanges giving people access to the other chain. What they generally do is they’ll pick the accepted chain as the new Bitcoin and they will convert everyone’s holdings to that new forked coin, but no they generally do not provide both versions of Bitcoin.

  2. Comment

No lol. Gosh, do some reading. If a HF happens, you will have your Bitcoin duplicated, meaning you 'll have your Bitcoin as is and a copy of that Bitcoin in a new chain. But people are actively talking about a chain split that won't happen.

  3. Comment

Bip110 will get a tiny bit of the global hash rate and the regards will be crying because once their nodes start rejecting blocks, their shorter chain will get ignored. Some of them decide to create a shitcoin that will eventually die like all the Bitcoin forks before.

  4. Comment

If a fork happen, people holding their keys are able to unlock the wallets of both coins. People leaving their bitcoin on an exchange, don't hold any keys and usually won't get an access to the shitcoin forking out of bitcoin.

  5. Comment

If a hard fork happens, whomever holds the keys will get 2x the bitcoin, one stack on the legacy chain and one stack on the main chain. If you self-custody, you get access to both. If you don't, the exchange has no obligation to give you access to the other stack as far as im aware. I didn't get bitcoin cash when I bought bitcoin in part because I didn't do self-custody.
