I’ve held it in self custody for a little over a year now. I really only did it because people said to do it. I got caught up in the coldcard entropy scare. I didn’t lose my BTC but I also only had 1 hardware wallet (mk4) at the time and really had no where to turn to so I dumped it all onto my brokerage. After the dust settled I bought some new wallets. And I’m limited to how much I can withdraw at a time. Daily limits, weekly limits, monthly limits. They’ve even temporarily frozen my account and took a bunch of phone calls for them to unfreeze it because I kept withdrawing my max daily/weekly limit. Mother fuckers will happily accept my BTC without restriction but the second I want it back in custody it’s a fight. I’m still withdrawing each week trying to get it all back. This was the click for me. This was the real world if I want my money I have to beg for it moment.

Every time it drop more than 0.1% I already feel the basement dweller typing and to nobody’s surprise I come on here and see the absolute tomfoolery he makes of himself on a daily- I think it might be a humiliation ritual at this point maybe he likes it??

I DCA daily on the exchange, but I don’t send every buy to cold storage I let it build up first then withdraw a larger amount, so the UTXO count shouldn’t be too crazy 🙏
