Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

You can, but Turkish grind is powder-fine, finer than espresso. If yours is just "fine", the Turkish method gives you a muddy cup with sludge at the bottom. Beltter for one 8oz cup, no gear: grounds in a mug, pour water just off the boil (not boiling, that turns fine grounds bitter), stir once, wait 4 min. Then decant slowly and leave the last cm behind, that's where all the sludge sits. Clean cup, lose one sip. Still gritty? A tea strainer or paper towel over the mug on the pour catches the fines. Cheaper then any gadget for a daily cup.

A decent espresso (descent is the name of the brand) the absolute sheer control you have over everything I think is just untouchable. You have you can bloom for a certain time with a certain pressure at a certain extraction rate. For tuning this thing is just crazy. Look up DE1PRO

Buy a ROK or a La Pavoni, a manual grinder and invest the rest in high quality beans. Unless you run a coffee shop there is no reason anyone would spend so much on a machine. Do you drink 60 cups a day? Why? because let's say that you're buying high quality, $50kg,. Then, the cost of your materials is $1/espresso shot. Let's assume that water and electricity are free. Now, what about the machine? Without maintenance, and assuming you get a machine that needs no work (again, I'm for you), your machine would last 10-15 years. Let's say 15. This means that you get 365x15 days of use, 5,475. This means that if you drink one cup per day, your machine cost adds $1 per shot. Let's say you drink two, you pay 50 cents per shot. At 10 cups, you're paying 10 cents a shot. Now, let's assume you can invest 10 cents more per shot for higher quality coffee. This is the difference between store brand espresso and specialty coffee. And that's in 10 shots per day, no maintenance, no electricity costs and if you already have the best filtered water so you never need to descale. Now, let's assume you buy a ROK for $200. This means you can take $6,300 and invest it in higher quality beans, enjoy your coffee and when it breaks down (meaning, neveruary) you can buy another one.

I’ve settled pretty exclusively on my 97 La Pavoni Pro. Heat milk in a pan to 85° Celsius, hand froth in my glass Bialetti frother. Espresso gets shot into 8g of jaggery sugar. Life is good. I’ve got so many other tools, and I still use my Hario Teknica siphon for my wife fairly often, but the LP just slaps.

What would be your endgame espresso machine? [$6500] - I’m looking for the absolute best espresso machine in the \*\*$4,500–$6,500\*\* price range. I don’t care if it’s a popular choice or a hidden gem—I just want the best machine. If you were spending your own money, what would you buy, and why? \*\*Please explain why you’d choose it over other machines in the same price range.\*\* I’d especially love to hear from people who have owned multiple machines in this price range and can compare them from real experience. \*\*Feel free to recommend any machine—I don’t have a specific brand in mind.\*\* \*\*What would you buy, and why?\*\* Thanks!
