   Brewing a regular cup of coffee like a Turkish coffee? - Hi! I recently got a bit of fine ground coffee on my hands, but I don’t have an espresso machine and the moka pot my family uses is too big for me. I like myself a single 8oz cup a day in the morning, but I’m not sure how to go about it. I’ve seen how Turkish and cowboy coffee are made and was wondering if I could do something similar to the Turkish variety. Fine grounds in a little pot, bring to simmer (?), pour, enjoy-type of thing. Thanks!

   I am more into the amateurish side of the hobby, but I've found that roast is pretty much what kills or makes the experience for me. I mostly drink moka pot, french press and a wacaco nanopresso that is quite convenient for day to day, and eventually I found out that coffee roast and also origin was pretty much what gave acidic, bitter, or sour notes to my coffee. What I did was finding a place where I enjoyed the coffee beans they get, and pretty much haven't switched beans and roast ever since. For bitterness a little bit of salt may help, but I suggest trying to find the beans and roast you enjoy the most

   I drink a lot of decaf and I’ve found that the more concentrated the brew, the better it tastes. Immersion (Clever dripper, french press, Aeropress) is better than pourover, moka pot is better than immersion, espresso is better than moka pot. I’ve found I like a decaf cappuccino the most out of all decaf preparations.

   I'll start with a quick question about dialing in a moka pot grind size, since my cups keep tasting a little thin. What ratio and brew time do you usually aim for with a 3-cup Bialetti?
