Any tips on setting up a new garage? - TLDR any good tips on setting up a new garage+basement area? I'm about to move into a place with a 1000ish sq foot garage. I'm moving from somewhere that I've FAR outgrown. New garage has one main garage door, HVAC near the middle and washer/dryer setup near the east side, with a set of stairs on the east wall. My new garage needs to fit a squat rack/bench/ x2 a-frame plate holders. A Mazda Miata. LOTS of woodworking tools and a decent amount of auto tools. A lot of my tools roll or are modular which helps. This winter I'll move the washer/dryer out and build a bathroom down there. Any tips overall? Sizings of workbenches, spacing, setup, etc?

The only reason I have a bench is to have somewhere easy and out of the water to put my leg while shaving. I would not call that “not using the bench” by any means. Not sure what else it should be used for tbh.

I love my teak bench, and the flexibility to move it where I want it. However, I would expect a good discount if you were expecting a built in bench.

I have a steam shower and use our bench. Have a few friends that do, as well.
