Getting rid of gaps between flor and skirting board? - Ive just moved into a rental and there are significant gaps between some sections of the flooring and the baseboard and i’m worried they may provide space for insects or pests to hide. also they look hideous. The floors are laminate floating wood and some gaps are maybe about an inch big. I’ve seen that caulking doesn’t work for these types of flooring so i’m wondering if there’s any way to get rid of the gaps or what the solution would be?

just take the faucets off, it look harder than it is. i redid mine in like half hour and the caulking was so much cleaner after, no weird gaps or nothing. you can do it

i would do the outside only if theres no weep holes because water will get in there regardless and if you seal both sides it will just sit inside and get moldy and gross. caulking inside only like it was before just traps water behind the frame with no escape route. for the bottom channel i just put a thin bead under it and pressed it down then wiped what squeezed out so the plastic piece can still slide

Yes, you're gonna want to caulk that seam. Just run a piece of tape along the bottom corner edge of the vinyl so you don't end up filling the weep holes and then fill the gap with caulking.
