   yes the grey water gets filtered partially through evapotranspiration, but also feeds into specific plants and trees in the garden indeed solids could harm the system

   yes usuually it goes to the bin, but there stuff is a lot that is easier to wash then to scrape like for examle parsley, the stainless pan that has food sticking to it (mosly rice or potatoes) etc also the blender bucket after making a smoothie, would have to use several paper towels, and as the bin gets emptied to a compost pile, the paper towels cant be. So cleaning with water is better. And for now i have to use a bowl and empty it in the garden, quiet a nuisance

   I can’t believe it! We We’re being bullied and harassed by an aggressive enormous squirrel. He made a mess of my little garden even broke one of my favorite pots. My dopey neighbors had been feeding him and his friends so he felt totally entitled. I called him King Kong squirrel and we would yell at each other whenever we saw each other. Well, I got back at him and the whole squirrel family. I planted mint in pots and put them on the garden walls. Guess what! Mr big-shot nasty squirrel stays away!!

   All of these answers seem so much more insane than just spending a few bucks on black oil sunflower seeds. Feed them and put out a bowl of water. They'll leave your garden alone.

   The only thing left is to made a deal with them. Give them peanuts. They’ll be too satisfied to eat the tomatoes. I’ve been feeding squirrels and growing a garden for years with very little issues. That said, yesterday some little dummy bit a hot pepper. Left it on the vine with little teeth marks. If I had to choose between a garden and the squirrels, the squirrels would win. I can get tomatoes at the store.
