   Siding absolutely. It takes a loooot of work though. Shop around on gutter work though. I get the nationwide company quotes for windows and gutters regularly. They're laughably bad. Like.. 10x what the local highly rated company charged a couple years ago when I did have them replaced. One piece seamless gutters were hardly more expensive than doing them myself. And yes. I do get the quotes. I shopped.to have that work done and their quotes were so bad that anytime they're going around door to door, I let them quote it out then show them what it cost to actually have it done recently. I don't mind wasting their time if they're trying to rip me off.

   I just fixed a bunch of my gutters from some crazy rains in our area the other week and I’m a middle aged woman with exactly zero gutter experience. Do what you can and hire someone if you have too.

   It isn't difficult, but it it takes time. You can hire out a mobile unit to roll your gutters on site,cut in the downspouts and add end caps...then you install pay a neighbor to help. For siding you make a story pole ,snap lines and install. Siding can be solo with a lift,ladders or scaffolding.

   It's doable but the time sink is real. Gutters are actually pretty forgiving for a first timer, siding less so. Rent a brake and watch a ton of videos before you commit.

   I have done both. Like with all home improvement DIY jobs it will take you longer than a pro but will likely save you money and if you take your time and learn properly you can get probably within 80% of their quality. Gutters are best left to the pros IMO but vinyl siding can be fairly easy to DIY. I did the three exterior walls of a sunroom I built myself in a weekend from bare OSB to fit, finished, trimmed, and guttered/roofed. It was roughly 250-300sqft but YMMV, this wasn't my first rodeo.
