Bullnose corner is bent - How does one repair a bent bullnose corner? I carelessly hit the drywall corner with a ladder and the metal bullnose is indented.

It's the high ceilings that drive up the cost. Lots of extra work and high ladders.

The walls for that room are 730sf. Take out a few doors/ windows and at $8,400, that’s about $12/sf. With 14 ft ceilings, you’re also using scaffolding. Have to factor in the time it takes to put up and take town. It’s not a long handed roller, someone on stilts, or moving ladders around. Are you doing something like going over really dark paint, or the new color is a dark color? Both will require multiple coats and a lot of prep work? With sticker shock on a quote, ask them to break it down. Ask the contractor what all is involved in that quote.

You could spend $300 on a paint sprayer, $300 on paint and tape/covers, buy a ladder for $150, and get it done in a weekend for less than $1000. I’m pretty sure you could even rent a sprayer and save like $200.
