Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Absolutely ridiculous. We have very high ceilings in our living room and entryway. We have a nook over the front door with a high peaked ceiling over that. Our painter did all of that, our dining room and an accent wall for about $500 - 10 years ago. We bought the paint. We found him on FB and he had great reviews that were accurate. Recommended him to a friend.

Are they just painting the walls or are they also doing trim? If they are doing trim, do you have a lot of trim? Are they doing the ceiling? Are they going to need scaffolding? Are they covering up a difficult color that will take extra paint? Will any sheetrock need to be patched or repaired? There are so many things that go into a job like this that without full details it’s hard to say. I would get more quotes so you can see what other painters feel the cost would be.

The sad part is these painters likely aren't making more than $20 an hour (unless they're in California). Let's say there's three painters making $20 an hour. That's $960 for 16 hours worth of work. Add in the cost of materials and profit for the owner and that's $2000 at best. So the owner will be getting a HUGE bonus if OP agrees to this quote.

This is the price they give when they don't want the work, which is ridiculous because seriously, they paint walls, how picky can they afford to be? But in reality, most painters are ridiculously overpriced. Best quote I got to paint my 10x12 dining room was $1,200. I did it myself in 10 hours and really took my time, so I bet a pro would do it in six. So they think they're worth $200/hour. To paint some walls. They think the week of experience it takes to perfect their skill is as good as a law degree.

I have a neighbor who is a painter... he does this all the time and cries he can never get work. I asked him to redo my front porch with new boards and paint so he quoted me $5000... i literally did it for $700 over a few weekends. Then I built an addition and ADU and he thought he would be a shoe in to do the interior and exterior paint... I told him to talk to my friend who was helping me with the build and lining up subs and he didnt even bother to walk a block to my house to inquire and now hes pissed I didnt hire him. LOL. Theres a 2 story craftsman across the street from him and the owner asked him how much to paint the exterior... friend quoted the guy $45,000. And of course didnt get the job. Literally walk across the street every morning. Unreal.
