Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Love this conversation about small vs large boulders, lol. I mean no disrespect y'all are just funny. Yes, at a certain size they would stop an ordinary not so small vehicle but also consider not just the cost of the rock but also the cost of the damage to those inside of it. Of course if they drive off the road and onto your property it is their own fault but still unfortunate or worse. It's sad they destroyed your garage. Their insurance doesn't want to pay? Also sad and not right. I grew up in NH where everything in site contains a rock. Of all sizes but generally there is a surplus of big ones. They are quite heavy. And don't just occur in NH, but hey, they don't call it the Granite State for nothing. As a younger woman I carried a small piece of pink granite up out from underneath the electric lines because it was one very nice looking rock. About the size of a nine inch home made birthday cake. It weighed in at close to forty pounds. The joke was on me for lusting after a big rock. Ok, ok go ahead, laugh. I was not arrested for lifting one of the state's rocks but I sure never did it again. Lol. And yes, a well made stone wall would in fact make for good neighbors. And stop most trucks.

Before filling it, I’d scope or expose those buried lines and run water through them to confirm where they discharge. Rock may stabilize the void, but it won’t fix a blocked or crushed drain.

It has to be demolished now… And rebuilt, right? You shouldn’t be out anything for this trouble. I’d look at barrier objects like rocks, bushes, etc.

Need Advice on Erosion/Ditch in Bacyard with Deep, Hollowed-out Area Inside Back of Ditch/Erosion - Hi Everyone, We have two corrugated downspouts connected to the gutters from the roof of our house. Additionally, we have runoff from a pool deck that goes into a third corrugated pipe buried under the steps to the pool. The theory is that all of these corrugated downspouts must have become clogged over time, because we now have a large ditch (area of erosion) in our backyard that is deep and hollow inside the back of the ditch (area of erosion). I have interviewed several contractors to redo the downspouts (preferably with "French Drain Man's" products (leaf filters, catch basins, and very strong 3-inch corrugated pipe)) and to fill in the ditch (area of erosion). I was very impressed with this last contractor, as he wants to fill the depth of the ditch (area of erosion) with rocks in order to prevent erosion from ever occurring again; however, his pricing is much higher than previous contractors (some by 4x higher). I have a Googke Photo Album with pictures and a shirt video of what it looks like under (and "inside of") the ditch (right after photo #18) and also this latest contractor's 2-page estimate. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, or feedback (especially on the estimate (how the contractor proposes to solve the problems and also pricing)) as well as any "hacks" or "workarounds," especially for filling in the deep and hollow ditch (area of erosion) with anything else possibly less expensive than rocks, but also that it will prevent future erosion issues from recurring again. Thanks so much for your feedback and interest in my post. The link for the Google Photos Album with photos and short video and estimate is: Please note that it is an https:// link, so no worries about malware, spyware, or deceptive "redirects."

I did. I called the company that originally drilled the well and has done a spot repair here once for the previous owner. Apparently a rock had shifted underground and cut into the pipe. They’ll come do it but basically told me it’s not a complicated job and since they’re not really nearby it would really help if I can find an excavator to rent. The ballpark price is about double the quotes I’m getting from plumbers and this isn’t a matter of pinching pennies and going for the lowest bid. They’re more expensive because of their location and it’s not really their thing and they said so. This ties perfectly with my original question though. You need a well company to drill or service a well. Not to dig up some lawn and repair poly pipes. Obviously that’s part of the complete system for a well but it’s not the part that you need their special skills for.
