Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Price aside, I'd make sure you're comparing scope before deciding whether it's a good deal. I'd want the quote to spell out things like waterproofing, floor/wall prep, exhaust ducting, cleanup and disposal, painting/drywall repair, and what happens if they uncover damaged subfloor or something else during demo. That's also why getting 2–3 quotes can be useful even if you already like this contractor. You're not just comparing prices — you're comparing what each person thinks actually needs to be done.

Just as a comparison, we had to replace a few rooms that had particle board subfloor, customer was having solid hardwood installed. 27 sheets with tear out out of particle and install of new subfloor came to $3,400. Granted I used OSB and not plywood.

Installing a toilet before knowing flooring height - Long story short: completely finished home/bathroom. Had a toilet ring slowly leaking which caused rot in subfloor. Had to remove toilet, 4 large (large) tiles, tile underpayment, toilet flange and a chunk of subfloor. I would like to reinstall the toilet for use in this bathroom temporarily prior to re-finishing the floor. The way our house is laid out, this partial tile removal has potentially put me in the mindset of redoing all of the flooring on this level (as we’ve wanted to for years and it seems like a waste to pay someone to retile a small area only to rip it up later down the road) but we haven’t fully made that decision yet and would like to get some quotes, pick out flooring, etc. but we’d like to have a toilet in the master bathroom in the meantime. It seems like installing the flange would be the biggest issue as far as heigh, as getting the previous glued-on flange off was less than easy. What’s the easiest “temporary route” to mount this toilet that can then be fairly easily adjusted to floor height in the future?

Should I caulk? - I don’t think you normally caulk where the floor (lament if it matters) meets the base board but there’s some gapping and it in a bathroom so I’m worried about the subfloor getting wet and ruined. My kid gets water everywhere. I would post a pic but idk how.

Acting like sistering is difficult. Like someone else said, it’s barely bigger than 1 sheet of plywood. Maybe 6 joists sistered. Short of major piping issues this should be a $500 job. I’d tell him to either give you a realistic price or else come back in a week after you hire someone else to do the subfloor.
