Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

It seems like we are both going through something very similar. My mother just turned 62 a week ago and is late stage 6/ early stage 7 and I’m starting to transition her into a memory care unit. It was a very difficult decision to make, but it’s really just been me and another caregiver I hired taking care of her. The other caregiver is starting to say it’s too difficult to care for her, which I understand. She was still walking and smiling in May of this year and would respond to us, even though most of what she said didn’t make sense. She had a fall in June and it’s been downhill since then. She’s fully wheelchair bound. Even her facial expression has completely changed.. she takes 30min to an hour to eat a small meal now. She doesn’t recognize me half of the time.. although I can see happy micro expressions when I tell her I love her and kiss her etc. It’s so hard to believe how quickly her condition has declined. A strange thing that’s been happening is that whenever I come to visit, as soon as she sees or hears me she starts crying. It’s so sad. I read somewhere that she may just be overwhelmed with emotion and crying is one of the only ways she can express it now. She has frontotemporal dementia + Alzheimer’sand from what I understand it can be especially aggressive when it happens younger. I just hope she isn’t suffering, and I hope I’m making the right decision by putting her in a home. I feel kind of numb to it at this point and in a way I feel like I lost my mother a while ago. It’s sad beyond words watching someone disappear like this. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. Sending you love and strength. My dm’s are open if you ever need someone to talk to.

It’s really awful to watch the progression. I visited my sister (just turned 62) yesterday and I’m honestly not sure if she knew who I was.

My wife (62) is stage 6 and I'm (66) her 24/7 caregiver. What annoys me the most is how people who have no idea of the situation offer unsolicited advice even though they've never experienced this in their personal lives. Example...she needs to be in a home with 24/7 care now, it's too much for you. You need to hire home care nurses now. You need to.......bla bla bla bla .......We're doing fine together. I keep her clean and safe and she comes everywhere with me. I know at some point, I'll need professional help but I'll know when the time is right. Not someone that is not experiencing what I am telling my what I need to do. . I understand they're just trying to help but don't need to hear it every time I see you. Shut the F ... up :) My two cents.

Thank you. There seem to be a few of us with LOs with early-onset. 62 is far too young 💔 Wishing you well on your journey too as well.

My wife is stage 6 and I pray this disease takes her sooner than later. I'm her 24/7 caregiver and I lose a little more of her with each passing month. She is only 62 and still very beautiful woman with a horrible disease. She would not want to live this way. Bless you and hope your mom goes peacefully soon.
