   I started with 10mg per day of lithium orotate in Nov 2025 but it made me really sleepy. So in Jan 2026, I reduced it to 5 and then 1 mg per day. Currently, I take 1 mg every Sunday. It makes me sleepy for a day or two. I hope that is enough! Just for reference, my husband takes 5mg per day and it does not make him sleepy. Go figure!

   I also take the common multivitamins and minerals. I have not been diagnosed with dementia or MCI. My mom had AD, so I volunteer for medical trials and studies. That’s how I got the initial ptau217 test. I started noticing memory glitches in 2023. So the initial positive ptau217 test result confirmed my suspicions. It also motivated me to implement the lifestyle changes recommended by the FINGER Trial and the U.S. Pointer trial. When I read the article about lithium orotate in Nature, I added it to my regimen.    Yes; my first ptau217 test result in April 2025 was 0.55 pg/mL. Anything over 0.18 pg/mL is a positive result and means that I have amyloid plaque growing in my brain. I immediately joined a gym, started getting lots of exercise, switched to a Mediterranean diet, added a statin & Zetia for cholesterol, and losartan for BP. In November 2025, I added lithium orotate to the regimen. In February 2026, my ptau217 had dropped to 0.36 pg/ml. In July 2026, my ptau217 had dropped to 0.13 pg/mL, which means that I am no longer testing positive for amyloid plaque! I intend to test again in February 2027. Hopefully it drops even further!
