Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Yes I think seroquel has helped but not without it's side effects. It makes my dad more drowsy and low energy and calm, but that also causes some bathroom issues as well. He does seem more lost and confused sometimes due to the seroquel. However I think it wont be as bad as what you described from the rexulti. Also, maybe the dose was just too much for your LO? Give seroquel a try. The Lexapro is an antidepressant, how is that working so far? I am looking to start my dad on either lexapro or zoloft soon.

Im so sorry your going through all of this. Im the same age and going through it as well, I do have a little help from my mom though. You absolutely 100% need help. My dad is not to the point that your grandma is at, but im shocked that its gotten that far. Do you give her any meds? She desperately needs the meds, its not right to have her in that condition. My dad was also cursing and screaming alot and extremely paranoid and ive been giving him seroquel as a sedative and im going to ask the doc to give him some zoloft soon as well. Your family needs to help you, im surpised you even lasted this long. My dad started going crazy for just 3 weeks and I needed a week off. At this point you might have to take her to the ER to get the right meds that she needs. You can make appointments and go the outpatient route, but that will take longer and you have had enough. Please get some help from your family, they are useless because they havent been forced to help. Demand help and take her to the ER, your grandpa is not the one taking care of her, you are. You are being abused right now, its bad for your health, ive already lost weight and developed major anxiety. You are probably doing worse than me. Best of luck, message me anytime if you need some advice. 🙏🙏🙏

Glad it was helpful! Zoloft takes awhile to kick in, of course. Risperidone helped immediately. It is less sedating than Seroquel, I believe.

Thank you soo much, this is so helpful. 🙏🙏🙏 I will bring this up with my dads neurologist. It seems like Zoloft is my next move. Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic and my dad is already taking seroquel which is a similar drug. I will ask if switching to risperidone might be better than seroquel. Also, how long did it take for those meds to start working? Did you notice a difference almost immediately?

  5. Comment

Seroquel is very commonly prescribed and seems to help many people, it's also cheaper than Rexulti which can be a consideration. This medication alone made us hit the Medicare prescription out-of-pocket limit pretty quickly. My person does just take Rexulti, nothing else has been needed so far. (knocking on wood)
