I told 23 and Me they could tell me about apoe 4/4 so it was in my report. For loading my raw data elsewhere to look for other variants unrelated to Alz I used promethease and genetic life hacks. Promethease is not user friendly but its how I found my rare immune disease…that was confirmed by rheumatologist who did medical genetic testing, dx and rx treatment. I had to fly accross the US to see a specialist as none in my local area had the expertise.

I'm in the US. After not doing so well on the cognitive test (MOCA 25/30) and having the p-tau217 blood test come back as abnormal my insurance put through the genetic test with no problem. Are you going through a neurologist? They know how to clearly present the need.

Im In US. 23andMe. Or ancestry. Are cheapest and easiest way. Less than $100. Just need the cheapest one sold - none of the extra stuff they will try to sell. You can also use that raw data file to find other hidden genetic variants. Lead to my 4 decade long rare immune disease finally being dx.

How did you get the e4 testing done? Which country are you in? I have run up against brick walls when trying to get genetic testing in the US.
