I honestly wouldn't bother worrying about anti-aging anything until you hit your 30's. Even then, there's not much that's proven to actually help outside of retinoids and sunscreen. I have premature wrinkles/fine lines from constant stress and inflammation and even then, retinol doesn't do shit to help them. It will help with your overall skin texture, though, and I think it's fine to start using it in your late 20's if you don't need it for acne. Just focus on UV protection and hydration, maybe a vitamin c serum. The rest is just for fun.

Used sunscreen since I was a teen. Started with retinoids and vitamin C at 24. Now I'm 30 and I'm slowly switching to retinal and started to use azelaic acid for some spots. Never got hurt but I always started with low dosage and went slowly. The ingredients you have listed help more with keepin the skin plump and hydrated

Of course! Also fwiw, one time I accidentally bought the anti wrinkle version of a Sana eye cream with retinol and soy isoflavones. I was nervous about using it because I really just wanted something for itchy/dry winter eyelids and was already using adapalene which is a retinoid, but I had zero problems with skin irritation. I think a lot of Asian beauty products don’t use very high concentrations of retinoids or acids, so the irritation potential for most people is probably lower than a lot of American products

collagen topically is only a humectant. Get a good routine with hydration and spf year long. Don't worry about retinoids yet. I'm 51 and have skin better than a 40yo w minimal lines.
