Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

GameGenic is cheaper than Eclipse. Niy all the dragon shield you can... I just bought $200 of dragon shield that was in stock and will probably buy more again. My favorite was Upper Deck - Proposed Sleeves but they are rare and comparable to dragon shield sleeves. I have over 3,000 board games and a complete Arkham Horror LCG products....

When I was a kid we’d play Monopoly as a family on Sunday afternoons when it was bad weather outside. Zero house rules, because we were all new to the game. (Mom & Dad were bridge players, my two sisters kept trying to add stuff like a kitty in the middle for fines that could be won on free parking and crap they had learned from friends. Dad vetoed all that: if it’s not in the rules, we don’t do it. I learned a lot about finance and real estate playing. (Mom once hit Income Tax late in the game and spent 30 minutes mortgaging properties and calculating net worth to see if it was less than the $200 she had just gotten for passing Go! This was mid-60s, pre calculators, so it was all done by hand. She wound up owing like $150, but never made it past Dad’s Marvin Gardens collection to get to my Pennsylvania Avenue group!) Ah, memories!! 🤪

I used to sleeve all games. But now I sleeve them based on usage, cost effectiveness, and purpose. So if the purpose of a card is being a decorative card in a $10 box that sees zero play, I don't sleeve it. If the purpose is: $200 deck builder starter card that gets shuffled every 30 seconds: I sleeve it with thick sleeves. If it's somewhere in between I might sleeve some cards, all cards, with either thick or thin sleeves.

This. It is easy to get sucked up into paying for a $200 bling game. But just play it first. High rating doesn't mean anything if you don't enjoy it, or can't see your group ever playing it. Speaking as someone who really wants to back a copy of Castles of Burg... but won't because I don't like the gameplay enough for $150.

I was the exact target audience for the Adeptis Titanicus specialist game, but they sold the rules/tokens/templates in a separate box for like $60 on their own, and the two player starter, minus the rules, for another $80. Then when they realized this was stupid, they combined them into one box and charged $200 for it. I wasnt going to pay $140 to see if I liked the game, and so I certainly wasn't going to pay $200 for the same.
