Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

My favorite game of all time. My first game was with 7 people, so I was able to avoid the Zeth and Yengii. After 5+ games, we still have yet to touch the zeth. You should play the yengii yourself and keep the zeth in the box, and maybe guide the less experienced players to the easier to play factions. Watch RTFM's video on it, it is super helpful and succinct. He also has a separate video that goes into how to play each faction that I found useful for suggesting factions to my friends. You WILL need two folding tables to accommodate 8 and side tables for snacks and drinks.

That is good. That also means he would probably be open to some of the other strategies people are mentioning because it sounds like he genuinely wants you both to be having a good time. I agree with seeing if there are ways of playing with handicaps. It is more fun to start from a disadvantage and be able to play your best than to feel like you sometimes need to "take it easy." In terms of handling the losses, it sounds like generally you are a good sport but are afraid the frustration might grow in the future. That is great self awareness, and good to communicate whenever you do bring up these ideas. Ine thing for yourself might be setting specific goals that can move you along. For example if you played chess and he was was way better you could track now many pieces you are able to take before he wins. If this month he is defeating you before you can even take 3 of his pieces and next month you are regularly taking 5 and the following month regularly taking 8 then you can feel the progression even if the binary win/lose isnt changing. One last very easy handicap might be giving him a time crunch like in timed chess where he has to decide on his moves quickly whereas you are allowed to think about yours more. Though that might also make him frustrated.

On my lap as a baby. He got the official title of "gamer" when he passed his first meeple. He's 8 now and there are no games he can't play.

I started mine around 3; and skipped past the “child” version of the games straight the real ones. Just before he turned 4, we played New York Zoo. Before that we had done Splendor, Cascadia, and a few others in that complexity level. A year later, went full-on to Hallertau. Now at almost 8; we’ve played Yokohama, AquaSphere, Robo Rally, etc. He doesn’t particularly get good strategy at all; but he can follow the complexity of rules just fine.

We played kid board games with them from when they were around 3. Silly, simple mechanic games which held their interest. We went to a small convention and my then 4 year old became obsessed with a game and since then he loves a board game. We've started introducing heavier mechanics and themes. He is now 8 and we regularly play games, his new favourite is A Gentle Rain which he will sometimes solo play. They are 6 and 8 now and we've recently played Pandemic, Above and Below, Mysterium Park and my 6 year old loves Dead of Winter, but we also play kid friendly games like Minecraft and party style games. I think start young with kid specific games and make a regular time for games 😊
