Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

My wife and I built our own board gaming table for €579 - My wife and I have wanted a dedicated board gaming table for our basement for a long time. We finally built one together, and I wanted to share some pictures of how it came together. The base is a 220 × 105 cm spruce panel, 27 mm thick, which we had cut to size at a local hardware store. We ordered the metal legs from Amazon and bought the fabric for the playing surface from a local fabric shop. The frame and accessories are 3D-printed parts from Gameframe. We went with black for the frame and gold for the trays, cup holders and corner dice towers. The printed parts use almost 20 kg of filament altogether. We also added an LED strip around the inside edge. Here is our material cost breakdown: \- Wooden tabletop: €150 \- Table legs: €109 \- Fabric: €52 \- Gameframe parts: €238 \- LED strip: €30 \- Total: €579 One of my favourite additions is a separate wooden panel that sits on small supports above the main playing surface. We can leave a board game set up underneath and use the upper level for miniature games. The game below stays visible and accessible. There is also comfortably enough room for War of the Ring and all its bits, which was a pretty good test for us! Putting it together bit by bit was a fun project to share. Having our own gaming table down in the basement feels like a little dream come true.

My wife decided I was spending too much time in front of computer screens (software developer plus video games) and complained about it to a coworker. He told her to send me to the game store he played at on Saturday. That was 30+ years and over $20,000 (400+ games) ago. Now gaming runs from 11am until whenever most Saturdays in our basement, although as we've aged whenever has changed. When we first started, we might end at 5am or even 6am; now it's rarely past 1am.

When I was in high school my friends and I would lift weights in one of the guy's basement while playing Risk and listening to Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. r/FuckImOld Fast forward to the 21st century and a neighbor asked me to join his board game group.

In the 80s me and my friends were like the kids in Stranger Things sitting around some basement playing D&. The problem was that none of us were really into the whole "Role Playing" part and just liked the idea of adventuring and getting loot. So, we picked up Talisman and from there we branched out into board games. In college, it was easier to get a board game going than any RPG game and that pretty much sealed our fates: we made the final transition to board games. Up until he died, one of my friends I grew up with, continued board gaming.
