Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I need you to understand that I am a large man. A man much much larger than I exited the bathroom at the same time I did. The smell from behind him was horrendous. He parted the GenCon crowd because no one wanted to linger in his wake.

my LGS has deodorant in their bathroom in the basement. The more I talk to my partner about getting involved with D&D/Daggerheart the more she brings up that it has nothing to do with not liking the game and *everything* to do with the way LGS are run and the people that frequent them. Most of the time it looks like a 30 year old bachelor is designing the store. There used to be another LGS about an hour away from me that literally separated the unwashed freaks from the regular clientele. Upstairs was for their casual boardgames and drop ins. Families, kids, date night etc. there were a set of bathrooms upstairs and bathrooms downstairs. The smell going downstairs was fucking gross, not only was it just muskier but when you finally went into the area it just smelled like a weird mix of heavy spray deodorant and BO. The worst part? The downstairs was actually a pretty nice area; it's just the fucking gross people who are ruining it.

I went to GenCon every year for nearly a decade, and every year something would happen there involving other people's hygiene that nearly made me projectile vomit. Everything from some dude wearing sandals to show off his infected 3-inch long toenails, to B.O. that was so strong it made your eyes water, to people literally not wiping after dropping a deuce and leaving their crap coated underoos on the floor in the bathroom. One year I even saw a group of people who refused to get a hotel room and were sleeping on the benches outside the old D&D hall overnight, laying out their sweaty clothes on the benches like they owned them. I don't go anymore, but I hear the con runners now pump a vanilla air freshener through the AC system.

One of my core Magic the Gathering memories was playing a 2-headed-giant prerelease event where my friend and I were sat across a pair of women. Couldn’t tell which, but one of them stank like a mix of BO and mildew and all the other fun sour odors you’d get from dirty laundry. It was strong enough nearby folks gave looks. So yeah I sat in that for 45 minutes. Lost the round in 3 games. I’d rate it up there with another time at a Modern FNM where a guy shat himself in the middle of the round and didn’t get up until he finished his games for the round, releasing the worst of the smell all at once. Thankfully it was the last round for me, so I didn’t stick around to see what happened after he came out of the bathroom.

The store I used to play warhammer at (large game store, they had nights for every tabletop/card/board game) had tooth brushes in the bathroom and a vending machine filled with deodorant and other self care items/bathing wipes. I don't understand how its so hard for people to get clean *before* showing up to the game store....
