   You think that's bad, try being a theater trying to put on a showing of the musical *Phantom* by Maury Yeston. To be fair to some of those, Twilight Inscription is based on Twilight Imperium, so the name similarity is indicating that, and Dune and Dune Imperium are based on the same IP. Similarly, Castles of Tuscany is specifically named to evoke Castles of Burgundy. On the other hand, Castles of Mad King Ludwig is entirely unrelated (although it is related to The Palace of Mad King Ludwig and Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig, the later of which is also related to Between Two Cities)

   Real conversation about board game names - My partner is also a board gamer though not as deep into the hobby as me, and we had an understandably confusing conversation about our lovely board game naming. **Me:** I'll be gone all day on Sunday to play *Twilight Imperium* and maybe next Sunday too. **Partner:** What? Isn't it only two players? **Me:** You're thinking of *Twilight Struggle*. That's the game I play with Victor. **Partner:** Ah that's the cold war game. But then if you're playing *Twilight Imperium*, why would it take all day? **Me:** What? Oh you're thinking of *Dune Imperium*. **Partner:** So that's different too. I got it, you're playing the six player *Dune*, that's why it's all day. **Me:** I think you're thinking of *Dune Imperium: Uprising* 6 player or the OG *Dune* war game. No this is a massive space epic 4x game. **Partner:** Isn't *Dune* also about space... **Me:** Yeah... **Partner:** Oh! *Twilight Imperium* is the game that Phillip said he played and liked. **Me:** No, that was *Twilight Inscription*, which is technically similar to this though shorter, and you're remembering that because he also got the title mixed with this game. **Partner:** Why do they name games like this... EDIT: I actually forgot the part where my partner asked me about another friend's game group who is really into *Imperial 2030*, and briefly got that mixed up as well.
