Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

This is my take as well, although more Tammany Hall than El Grande. Felt like Avalon was as hard to learn as Arcs or Root but not nearly as satisfying to play. I'd rather play a simpler game like Tammany Hall or El Grande, or a crunchy but actual satisfying game like Arcs. Avalon swung to the wrong side of both extremes for me.

I bounced off avalon. I feel like el grande fits the decision space with less steps but not as shiny. My first play was so rough and the game felt so protracted and chancey i do not want to play that one again. OKC is fine. Good asymmetry with interesting card play and a good amount of tactical consideration ranging from where to bid and what cards to play where. Its an interesting engine and board to play in. Not the most immersive game thematically but there’s good theme and great art there. If this was the choice, it’d be OKC for me. But i personally wouldn’t own these for my collection.

That's a very broad question! Any filters to narrow it down? On the co-op side, Burgle Bros and Spirit Island are the only two so far that have interested rather than frustrated me. Air, Land, and Sea and Toy Battle come to mind as vs games that really distill this responsive mindset, really nailing the tools to send things sideways alongside the tools to put it back together. Innovation. Longer form, Keyflower, El Grande, Carson City, Great Zimbabwe for more fighty. La Granja, Agricola, Pipeline for games where the obstacles are more mechanics driven.

When a game has a general and personal supply, do you mix all the pieces? - For example, Hansa Teutonica and El Grande both have a general supply that players have to take their pieces from. Do you guys mix all the player pieces together or just put them aside next to each players board?

El Grande is an all timer (though it’s best with the full 5)
