Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Sounds like you need better friends. Especially if you have expressed the frustration to them. If playing MTG with "friends" at home, you have to level the playing field, otherwise it just becomes who spent the most money to win. That can mean proxies or limiting deck power level/designs, whatever makes you all happy. Eurogames are notorious for having broken strategies that mean if you aren't playing 100% optimally, you WILL be losing. Often mistakes in the first few turns will decide the game, then you play for another hour or two to confirm it. If the group fails to adapt, then you can be the vengeful/sith type, you can stop playing to win, but to make sure specific people lose. They don't want to play to have fun, you can be their personal handicap.

For eurogames, keep track of your scores game to game and try to focus on improving your score. Seeing progress can be rewarding. Magic is going to be a lot tougher to enjoy if there is a big mismatch in skill and competitiveness. There's not really a good answer to that other than taking a break or trying a coop card game like LotR, Arkham, or Marvel Champions.

How to minimize frustration when losing continuously? - For context: \- I usually play with my boyfriend and I have about a 20% winrate. The games I win are 50/50 games that I make a good game and games that he makes bad games. When I play with him and I lose, I lose by A LOT often. \- When I play with more people (he is always present) I might have a slightly lower winrate. But that's okay, as we are more people so more chances of not winning or being the last one. \- In Magic: The Gathering (we are the same 4 when we play) I have won 1 game out of 12 that we had) \- We play Eurogames only (and Magic). So, my question here is: How can I minimize the extreme frustration I feel when I constantly lose BY A LOT? I don't really play to win, I play to have fun and do nice combos in the table. But when I lose BY A LOT, constantly, I am starting to feel extremely frustrated. **I am NOT asking how to win. I understand it is a skill issue. I just want to know how to handle the frustration of not being able to at least get close to the same score as my boyfriend.** Did this happen to any of you? If so, how did you overcome it? I am very worried I will continue to get more and more frustrated and stop enjoying playing with him. Because I really enjoy doing so. Please, I beg you abstain yourselves from making jokes as I am a bit sensitive about this right now. Thank you in advance. \---------- Edit: Thank you all so much for the replies. You gave me good advice! I will try and follow some of these ideas to feel better. This has been bothering me (and as I can read, many people more) for a long time and I REALLY want to keep loving these games. Thanks again, I really appreciate it <3.

For multiple reasons, I view giving money to Awaken Realms as contrary to my interests. That's a separate matter from the value of _Concordia,_ the game itself (which I believe is still readily available at decent prices in editions from quite a number of other publishers). I don't reckon it outstandingly innovative, in contrast for instance with another Mac Gerdts design, _Imperial._ However, it impresses me as an extremely well designed example of the 'eurogame' genre; and (like many Martin Wallace designs) leaning within that more toward the older "German school" of elegance than toward the 'heavy' baroqueness that has become only more prevalent in the dozen years ere its debut. One might call it a masterpiece in the field of "classic euro" works, bringing to a peak of refinement a wide array of elements that connoisseurs of that style appreciate. As others have mentioned, it shares with Wallace's _Age of Steam_ and Friese's _Power Grid_ the feature of a diversity of alternate maps geared to different player counts and bringing interestingly different dynamics while using the same basic rules set.

The Castles of Burgundy ( I prefer the untranslated name: Die Burgen von Burgund) is very much the platonic ideal of a Eurogame. I like Euros but if someone prefers thematic, or social deduction, or dudes on a map I can see why they wouldn't like Die Burgen Von Burgund
