Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Looks like a lot of fun! At a glance and without playing myself, the addition of the hostages and holders seems to add a lot of complication and the pushing and capturing mechanic had already seemed enough to me. Is there a gameplay/balance reason you decided hostage taking was necessary?

From everything they’ve shown so far, the core gameplay is still very much Feast for Odin. The biggest changes are: • A reworked action board with more card focused options. • New hunting and pillaging mechanics using different dice. • More tile shapes, another weapon type, and different gray tiles. • Kaupangs replace islands and add their own cards and gameplay. • Multiple game length options. • The standard game now uses **11 Vikings instead of 12**, which cuts down on downtime and brings the playtime closer to **60 to 75 minutes per player** instead of 75 to 90. If you prefer the longer experience, the optional “Gernot Box” lets you play with all 12 Vikings again. Who is it for? I’d say it’s aimed at people who love Feast for Odin but want a tighter, faster experience with more variety and replayability. It also looks like it’ll be a better entry point for people who were interested in Feast but were put off by the length. If you already own Feast for Odin, I don’t think this is an automatic upgrade. If you’re happy with the original, there’s no reason to rush out and replace it. But if you play it a lot and want a refined version with new mechanisms, more variety, and flexible game lengths, this looks like it could absolutely be worth owning alongside it rather than replacing it.

I've recently played it for the first few times in over a decade, and was pleasantly surprised. **The worst of it**: The rulebook is a mess, and the rules themselves are byzantine. Information isn't collected everywhere you need it, so you're often cross-referencing three different sections to put together everything you need for one question. And the game is full of things like "when there are monsters equal to no. of investigators +2, X thing applies." It's a lot to keep track of. **The bad**: others have pointed out the lose a turn mechanic. That's definitely dated. My husband and I play two players, four investigators, though. So it's rare that we actually lose a turn, but that would be a very different experience in a proper 4-player game. **But I DON'T think it deserves its reputation as being random / lacking in player agency.** Yes, there are wildly lucky and unlucky card draws. And yes, there are lots and lots of dice rolls. But there are *plenty* of ways to mitigate bad luck with good strategy. Some locations have worse encounter decks than others. Some locations have beneficial encounters you can opt to take in place of a card draw if you spend resources. You choose where you go! And there are ways to pick up a variety of boosts for your rolls. The LCG is a completely different genre of game, so it's hard to compare. Eldritch Horror is the direct successor that supposedly streamlined and modernized AH gameplay. It's worth looking into. Plenty of people out there would disagree with me, but I think AH2E is a better game than EH. EH has less bookkeeping, but it feels significantly more punishing. I'd do some more digging into both to get a handle on how the gameplay goes.

As one of the weirdos who play this game solo only..... I really still recommend a dedicated and motivated group that won't be afraid of learning many different gameplays. It can take a long time to learn the basics and longer to master your faction, and then you want to know how the others work too. You could try the steam version first to see if you like how it plays.

Kinda on the fence about this one. Since TT has come and gone I have really enjoyed Funhaus and Smosh board game shows, also recently tried No Rolls Barred for some English banter and it was solid. If I want just straight gameplay with an overhead camera I'll use the BoardGameGeek channel (Game Night). All this to say, if the cast is weak or the comedy is cheesy I might just look elsewhere, but I'll give it a few eps
