Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

To add to that, how is it even news that Hasbro isn't in a position of grace? The backlash against the revised Open Gaming License and the Pinkerton incident weren't that long ago.

Hasbro, fall? Did they find a new secret, deeper bottom to fall into?

Honestly, why would Hasbro make any Monopoly games? I don't understand how those could still be money-makers.

Maybe the brazenness is the idea, no? Just on this forum, the post has gotten a ton of upvotes and a ton of comments, and thus a bunch of free publicity. It's one of those things where it's hard to separate satire from earnestness, but if they can sell a bunch of low-investment copies based on the game's viral spread, then Hasbro pretty much succeeded at what it set out to do, no?

It has, and I don’t hate Universes Beyond. Objectively the quality of Magic in all aspects has been declining, from the cards themselves to the state of constructed play. This is the result of 2 things: rapidly increasing production and using licenses to move product. This is very much the “monopoly strategy” where Hasbro knows it can sell a license on a box regardless of the contents.
