   No. "Kickstarter goodies" has a different connotation than "deluxe version". It tends to trigger people. OP would have gotten a different reaction to "It's the same deluxe version Kickstarter backers will get and which will be available in the webstore and at conventions".

   I mean...if you're sensitive to that you shouldn't be backing kickstarters. That's just kind of the bottom line.

   Thanks for the info. I think I just get annoyed that they sold the game to me in the kickstarter like it was designed. It was done. They needed to go to production and shipping and then they went back and redid a bunch of mechanics and here we are in 2026 five plus years later and still nothing. In that time I've gotten Metal gear solid. I have an email from cyberpunk saying they are in production. I've gotten to the point I only pre-order from brick-and-mortars so I can refund cuz between academy and CMON games I barely got MGS but I cancelled the assassin's Creed one. The MGS one has a glaring spelling error on it. And I had no faith that they would deliver the AC game.

   There is no Kickstarter version. There is a deluxe version you could back on KS/GF which will also be sold on their webstore and at conventions and a retail version which will go through distribution. (Deluxe editions have become a common method for game companies to make money by fulfilling a want in the gaming community). The OP's use of "kickstarter goodies" was inaccurate.

   Even at retail, you can still find "deluxe" editions too; further making Kickstarter not worth it.
