Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

If your game friends have a lot of games between you, and you enjoy playing different games each session, then I wouldn't recommend Root. As many have mentioned Root works great with a consistent group and consistent plays. Fantastic game , but our experience is it fails miserably because of our group's dynamic.

A gaming group I left always played in a basement, and between the DM’s body odor and the morbidly obese player who did not bathe, getting through a session without puking was like an actual hero’s quest for me every time. Pretty much any hobby or lifestyle that appeals to socially awkward people is going to be filled with people who can’t or won’t practice basic hygiene. For some of them, it’s apathy, for others, it’s autism, and some autistic people apparently have sensory issues with showers.

Outfoxed was my kid's gateway game! Then she moved onto Zombie Kidz, we all loved it (sessions are super short, the legacy aspect is great, and it's cheap). Honestly one thing I've learnt is that the recommended age for coop games is more "age at which I can gift you a box, and you can learn the rules, do the setup and explain it to the other players". The actual age at which someone can play is much younger (mainly because you don't have to teach all the rules at once, you can just tell your kid what she strictly needs to know to make informed decisions on her turn). So ours is in love with Horrified and we've played a lot (you might think "but the theme though?" and honestly there's nothing scary when actually playing it). I guess Pandemic would work as well (they're more similar than it would seem at first glance). She also loves Hanabi, and the LotR: trick taking game. If she likes Jenga, then I 100% recommend Cat Tower, gorgeous game, I feel it's gonna get repetitive real quick but it's so full of charm and cute, and original as well...

I just started in a new d&d campaign at a FLGS. The BO smell was so bad that by the end of the session I just told a bunch of strangers they could come to my house instead.

My wife and I just finished it. TLDR: The players who miss scenarios are at a disadvantage. To the point I don't recommend missing a scenario even though there are rules for when someone misses a scenario. As I said, there are rules for what to do if someone misses a scenario. They also get a preset score for the scenarios they missed. I find that the preset scores tend to be on the lower end of what you would get for a scenario early on, but significantly low for the later scenarios. The players who aren't there for a scenario also miss out on a lot of "score at the end of the game" things. As for catching people up with the changing rules, not a big deal. Scenarios add new rules of course, but those new rules normally get unlocked as part of the end phase of the previous scenario. Everyone always forgets the new rules if you have a week or two between sessions, just get into the habit of quickly recapping before each session.
