Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

As another comment mentioned, you *probably have a fake* just on the basis it says "1st edition". In later prints a few of the boards changed and the rulebook made adjustments. You can find all the components to update these pieces on the Official Leder store here. There's been a lot of minor tweaks to rules throughout Root's life and it's hard to list all of them in one go, however the single most dramatic is the 3rd edition where they had to modify player boards which is what the above upgrade kit was designed for. **Later versions only modify the rulebook and do not modify player boards.** For a list of what the component changes look like: * **Marquise de Cat** * Field Hospitals is re-written to now allow you to spend 1 card to recover multiple Cats. Previously, Field Hospitals required 1 card *per Warrior*, but now it only needs 1 card *per instance of removal (regardless of how many Warriors were removed as long as they were all removed simultaneously)*. * **Woodland Alliance** * The VP earned from Sympathy tokens was modified. Now, the first Sympathy token placed grants 0 VP. The increasing value of VP from each Sympathy token goes up at the same rate, but now delayed by 1 token *(i.e. where the first 5 tokens before went 1→1→1→2→2 it now goes 0→1→1→1→2)*. * **Vagabond** * The text describing Infamy now specifies you must remove enemy warriors *on your turn*. Previously you could score from removing warriors even on other players' turns. * The Satchel now specifies a repaired item does not get flipped back to its face-up side. Previously, repaired items were flipped face-up. * **The Lizard Cult** * The "+1 Card Draw" icon for Gardens is now on the 2nd Garden of every suit. Previously, this was on the 4th Mouse Garden, 3rd Rabbit Garden, and 2nd Fox Garden.

I really hate the accusation of "rules lawyer" (although the one guy who used to say it stopped showing up to the local FLGS game night many years ago). It's more like rules referee, which everyone should be doing when it's not their turn. And that includes pointing out when an opppnent's choices entitle them to points/resources/benefits that they missed while taking a complicated turn. It's just like curling, where your opponent acts as your referee!

Not entirely, Dice monger can be used once per turn, so if you get a 1 on a reroll, skipper activates

Not sure where you're getting that from. Often races with experienced players will be won by a full turn. Most races are known who will win before the last turn, because even when players finish on the same turn, it won't be an equal fight, some players might not have the heat for their upgrades/gear 4/boost, some will have a significant space advantage. Like obviously the gap isn't going to be 15 spaces by nature of the game, but you can win by 4 spaces where you were 100% to win whatever happened on the last turn.

I used to like teaching, but not any more. It's become a CHORE especially as I have gotten older and attention spans have reduced due to smart phones. I end up teaching the same people the rules over and over. Answering the same questions every turn over and over. People always pass me their cards and ask if they can play it or what it does, when the answer is in plain language on the card itself. I even make player aids, with flow charts, and all kinds of things to help. No one ever reads them. They just asl me directly. It's gotten to point where teaching games has actively ruined my love of the hobby. These days I don't teach any more. I will sit them down and watch a how to play YouTube video for them.
