Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I genuinely dont understand the "sitting up high" BS, every time I have to drive my Mom's SUV I am just uncomfortable with how enormous it is, it feels like I'm remote controlling a Jaeger in Pacific Rim She went from a Tahoe to the new Land Rover Defender and when I made a comment about the size she said "it's so small, right?". No, it feels enormous compared to my civic or the 3 series I used to drive

My parents had a BMW X1, and when they drove in our 3-series estate they were immediately sold. They now drive a new 320e because it handles much better than (small) SUV's. The seating position is something they adjusted to quickly, and the getting in/out thing really is not that big of a deal. We went with a 3-series because the boot is lower, which means it's easier for the *dog* to get in/out.

Someone who deals in dealer auctions sent me a carfax of a leased Cadillac CT6 that basically had every panel damaged at least once in the span of a year plus a few airbags deployed for good measure. Sometimes it would be crashed days after the last accident. It was a 54 page document. I remember seeing a CPO BMW 3-series that had an airbag deployment prior to being certified. Guess BMW didn’t count that as a demerit.

    > but the 3-series isn't made in the US either, so what is it doing What's interesting is they are shifting production back to Germany and the Mexico plant will be making the iX3.

  5. Comment

Theres always the typical BMW enthusiast sentiment that n-1 gen is the best gen & how terrible the new interiors etc. and how the 3/m340i in particular are all that's left of golden era BMW But 3-series sales are up 37% , up 46% comparing the quarters, its their best year since '21 by some margin, how have they done that If it was truly build quality, the X3 wouldn't be up 20% as well, if people went back to liking sedans so much, the 4/5/7 wouldn't be down nearly as much, & registration data shows the e-class was down 30% or so as well, & that + the 5-series can be explained by tariffs & pricing vs. their SUVs but the 3-series isn't made in the US either, so what is it doing
