   Yeah, but speaking as a buyer, that was part of the appeal to me. It's like the GMs and Ford of yesteryear where there are decades of parts and institutionalized knowledge support behind the latest model. Maintenance, repairs, and upgrades are all cheap. Reliability is high. Problem areas are already well-known, largely sorted, and generally easy to diagnose. It has the latest tech I want (BT, Android Auto, (good) radar cruise control, cameras and parking sensors) and none of the bullshit "modern driver safety" shit I hate - fully disabled lane departure BS, no automatic start-stop, no nagging about speed limits like the European cars, no cameras pointed at my face, etc. It's got a 6 speed manual, rear wheel drive, and two turbos that can easily be tuned to put down big pools of additional power if I wanted to. As an enthusiast, it's literally the perfect driver's car on paper - it has all of the things people say they want and very little of the things they say they don't. In practice, it's been pretty great. There are a few minor quality of life things I'd like to see improve, but really, the fact that the car is using an older platform has been a boon, not a problem.

   Having now owned at least one new truck from each of the three, its reliability. GM? 17 colorado went into the shop for 3 or 4 weeks after i drove it home because they failed to install the wiring for the antenna correctly. Traded it out immediately due to other reasons and got a v6 18. It made it to the first oil change before it started throwing stability and traction control errors. Dealer screwed up the steering so it wouldnt drive straight. Lemoned over both issues. Ford? 52k miles my 19 rangers transmission would audibly clunk during gear changes. Despite an extended warranty and being in the shop a month over the next 48k miles the dealer could make it make the noise on command, but could not warranty the trans. At 106k miles, right outside of warranty the 10 speed forgot how to shift into second gear. It had also started throwing lights for the locking rear diff and despite being replaced at 99k miles the servos for the blend door failed, again. The 10 speeds are a known failure from 19 to 23. Jeep... from the factory the paint on the windshield frame had to be ground down because the top would not seal. The top had an entirely unrelated seal fail at 6k miles. I have to hard reset the infotainment multiple times a week, sometimes a day, because bluetooth and wireless android auto will disconnect and refuse to work until reset. My fiat spyder, mazda miata, mazda3, my wife's forrester, her previous civic? Never had issues like these.

   I LOVE the front end. It's clean, modern, beautiful and we'll proportioned. Compared to the ugly bucktooth 15000 cuts front end of the G80, this is a massive improment imo. The rear though ? Overly bulky, awkwardly sized and placed lightbar. Reminds me of an F10 5 series GT. It's like they took the rear end of the current 5 series, change a little and slapped it onto the new 3. Interiors are kinda ugly. Why is the center screen a trapezoid? How does that make ANY sense. It doesn't even tie into the design of any of the other parts of the car. I love the new HUD but it doesn't integrate with Android auto or apple carplay which is stupid af.

   > it's so terrible compared to android auto. Genuinely, in what way? The Spotify app is way worse for scrolling through your music on AAOS vs AA, but that is truly the only limit I've found. The deep integration with Google Maps for battery state and recommended chargers is fucking awesome.
