Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

My point is that it’s a stupid scenario for a manual car to be in. So you’re at a standstill, then you slip slowly up to 5mph and then race? Why would you put yourself in that spot in the first place, this is not the nature of the car. An automatic sure I can understand but in a manual 5-60 is a weird spot to be in because you’re purposefully bogging yourself down in the spirit of racing. If it’s to preserve the clutch by all means sure but even a little more slip wouldn’t change much to the clutch life

  2. Comment

I’ve been driving manual my entire adult life. I’m not talking about during takeoff, I mean a situation where it would be more akin to 5-60. If you’re already moving in first gear and not needing to clutch in, you purposely go back to the clutch just to slip it?

  3. Comment

Yeah dude. That’s what driving a manual is, sometimes you have to slip more and usually less. It’s all about intention. If you’re at a red light on a merging lane you don’t have to go all out dumping the clutch you can just slip a lil more and get a comfortable lead. And if you’re not racing or getting ahead then the metric is useless because no one is staying in first gear and people who drive this car have their rpms close to boost.

  4. Comment

How often are you clutch dumping when you takeoff from a stop tho? 5-60 is a more accurate reflection of a normal takeoff into quicker acceleration. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s closer to what you’ll feel driving around town than 0-60.

  5. Comment

Is anyone actually doing that day to day just driving around tho? Slipping the clutch on the way to Costco just to get sub 6 second acceleration.
