Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

> I think the 718 EV or any other EV that keeps the batteries towards the center as opposed to the traditional skateboard layout will probably stand out and have character in that sense. I agree with everything you said, but wanted to highlight this. Center tunnel and behind (or infront of) the cabin is such a dramatic difference from the skateboard layout. It's **so much better**. The driving experience feels much more natural because you get more information about the road. But so few people have driven non-skateboard EVs. They don't know what they're missing.

I agree with that. If you can’t have an EV then remote start is such a great thing.

That calculation is wrong and so is the website, the savings are much bigger and the majority of EVs are 0% tax. This statement from the website is plain wrong. >So, if you import an electric car worth about DKK 224,000 (€30,000), you subtract the DKK 165,000 deduction, which leaves DKK 59,000 as the taxable value. >The tax is then calculated on that amount, and because EVs pay only 40% before 2026, the final tax bill stays relatively low. The entire page is pure misinformation which is pretty crazy coming from a car importing website as a guide to our taxes, that gets it completely wrong by a LOT. Even the screenshot they show lower on the site (which is correct, from the government) is contradicting everything they write. In this screenshot, they end up paying 18.000dkk registration tax because it's an expensive car (About 4%), where as if it was ICE it would be 460.000dkk (95%). You pay 0% tax on EVs up to about 420.000kr ($65.000) where a identical ICE has about 100% tax at that price. So you save a LOT. A $65.000 EV, is a saving of almost $65.000 in taxes. So most EVs pay 0% tax. The 160.000dkk EV deduction is calculated AFTER the registration tax, and AFTER the 0,4x multiplier. So the example math both you and in the article is wrong because you did it the wrong way around. Let's take a identical ICE and EV with approximate numbers. ICE: - Car cost: 420.000dkk - Variable value based tax: 405.000dkk Total ICE tax: 405.000dkk EV: - Car cost: 420.000dkk - Variable value based tax: 405.000dkk - Actual variable tax after EV Multiplier 0,4x: 161.000dkk - Flat EV Deduction: 161.000dkk Total EV tax: 0dkk --- So your Renault 5 example, the 185.000dkk price is with 0% tax on it. If it was identical, but ICE, it would cost around 270.000dkk instead. And a 420.000dkk Tesla would be about 800.000dkk if it was ICE, so yes, a very very big difference. You can see it for yourself for example Tesla specifically writes the registration tax on their website. The 422.000dkk Model Y has 0dkk registration tax on it, where the 495.000dkk model is including 26.000dkk registration tax (About 5% only) Also even after the EV tax is raised to the full amount in 2035, you still get a flat 160.000dkk ($25k) flat EV deduction, before VAT. EVs have already been getting higher tax from 2020-2025 where they got rid of the battery deduction, and nobody felt that since the cars themselves got cheaper and they're still mostly 0%.

What does "soul" mean to you? It's not an engine and transmission since you pointed out that some ICE supercars are accused of being soulless (which I assume you agree with since you brought it up). What would make an EV soulful to you?
- Comment
Plenty of EVs are soulless but plenty of ICEs are too. It’s not a line that gets drawn on drivetrain despite what people want to claim.
