It is the panacea when compared to gas considering an EV is up to 400% more efficient than the equivalent ICEV, your electricity could double again and an EV would still cost much less per mile to fuel.

> Yes gas is expensive, but as income increases, gas prices become more regressive and tend to not matter as much. Not only this, but accounting for inflation gasoline in America hasn’t risen much or has actually gotten cheaper depending on what specific data point you pick. $4.50/gal 10+ years ago is a lot more than $4.50/gal in 2026.

Yeah, I think a lot of people hear "gas cars" and assume it means "you put gas in it"

I too have chargers at my complex but it is more expensive than charging at a house on the electric bill. New problem is that apartments may charge more than they should. Luckily it's still cheaper than gas at the moment and there are maintenance savings.
