   Heated seats are very dependent on how they heat. Some heat the full seat and some only heat a smaller area. In my current car the whole seat including the side bolsters and the thigh extension are heated. In my previous car that wasn’t the case.

   yeah for me a heated steering wheel is even better than heated seats. In winter i'm already wearing warm clothing outside, so I can just leave my down jacket on while driving. But I seldom wear gloves and my hands get really cold while driving. I use the heated steering wheel in every season - even some colder summer mornings.

   > Heated steering wheel is something I never knew I wanted until I had it. Such a nice little luxury when hopping into a cold car on a cold day. I had this revelation a decade and a half ago when I bought a car with heated seats and then recently again with the heated steering wheel. Both went from a "nice to have feature" to "I never want to own a car without this" very quickly after experiencing them in the winter.

   I never thought I'd use heated seats or a heated steering wheel living in a hot climate but I hate the feel of forced hot air. In my short winter window if I leave for work and it's 35F outside, the heated seats and wheel let me be comfortable while dialing back on the actual heater. A+, would hate to give them up on a new car. Now I have ventilated seats and one of the trucks I'm interested in (Ranger Raptor) doesn't have them and that might actually be a dealbreaker.

   In the south, I really want cooling seats. I rarely need heated seats, even when it is colder as much as I would love cooled seats. I'd consider upgrading my vehicle JUST for cooled seats. Not just some air venting, actually help with the heat/sweat/misery.
