Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

This car reaction reminds me just how little Reddit knows about the average customer and what they want from a car. Seriously just read the posts about this car. According to users here, instead of this fully electric pickup truck you should buy a gas power civic sedan or Chevy bolt instead. Neither is a truck and the civic is gas power... "What about the maverick?" More expensive, is not electric, has four doors with a smaller bed and again is a hybrid. I don't want a hybrid truck. "But it not 19k!" Okay? What fully electric brand new pickup truck is 19k in 2026? Like it hard to take any of these comments seriously. I am the target audience for this truck. I put a deposit down. This car is the perfect secondary car for me. I am a homeowner. I love my sports car and will continue having a sports car, but it is nice to haul equipment for my house without stuffing into my fun car. This is cheap enough to grab as a secondary vehicle, and it has virtually no maintenance as an EV. This is who the truck for. My local mechanic shop another great example. They take people to their house if within 50 miles. This is a great truck to take them in. These are the demographics they are aiming for. Not the farmer in Alaska that needs to drive 600 miles one way to drop off 2 tons of tomatoes.

  2. Comment

Higher gas prices have increased sales of both hybrids and EVs while ICE vehicles lose share.

I hear you! Like if it was easy to make an EV sports car or even a hybrid then Toyota would have done it by now. The technology is just not there yet. I'm also a single guy and my GR86 is perfect for an only car. I would gladly pay $50k for an EV GR86 if it kept the weight low and drove the same, but with a bonus of a 4 second 0-60.

Those hybrid transmissions are way cooler than an EV transmission. My son has a remote controlled EV with the same transmission as yours, and hes 1. Its really amazing from an engineering perspective, and im surprised the toyota ones are as reliable as they are.

  5. Comment

It's pretty consistent with all previous Mazda statements about their EV plans. All Mazda RWD platforms can be converted to hybrid or EV with minimal effort. Looks like the Miata will be no exception.
