Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Was that in the Mercedes press release? Cause that’s not an official Nürburgring record category. RS3 and M2 CS are both in the compact car category under combustion & hybrid vehicles on the official website.

Why would you think that a brand that has had 0 success with electric or hybrid cars would be able to make an appealing electric or hybrid enthusiast car?

  3. Comment

Its actually working out pretty well for them. Their retail market share and total EBIT went up year over year despite cancelling the Escape and the aluminum fire screwing F-150 production. If not for the fire which was pretty out of their control, their revenue would probably be up and their earnings would be higher. I didn’t like it at first as an Escape owner, but honestly the more I thought about it the cars they are moving to are a lot more desirable. I was mainly annoyed they didn’t have a hybrid Bronco Sport (which would look way better than my Escape), but I honestly want to go electric anyway and UEV is around the corner. It is a shame they don’t have anything like the Focus anymore though. They couldn’t really compete with it anymore in America, but if the new EV platform works I think they could bring it back and make a much cooler car this time that’s still affordable.

I'm gonna need a new car to be allowed to drive to work late next year, I'm torn between a second hand yaris hybrid or selling one of my roadsters to buy whatever electric/hybrid sports car exists by that time

I run lrr on my hybrid and have never had an issue with grip on wet roads. Turns out tire mfgs know what they're doing.
