Yea, it’s the undeniable value play. Can get them less than MSRP too sometimes. It’s a lot of car for the dollars.

I was just going off of the average MSRP for new gas vs hybrid which was $34k vs $39k from my quick googling.

1) Wrong. The most popular type of hybrid is more reliable and, in fact, has fewer moving parts than its pure ICE counterpart. 2) Yeah, you lose the sound, but you gain the torque 3) Even rich people love saving money, seemingly moreso than non-rich folk 4) Hybrids typically have terrific resale value. 10-year old clapped out priuses regularly sell for \~50% of their original MSRP. Maybe it's just *American* hybrids that are unreliable, boring, and have that depreciation falls off a cliff.
