Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I bought a 2016 Focus ST last week to be my winter fun / dog car when I put away the Mustang for the winter. Also have a Lexus GS, '96 F150, '02 4Runner and a Subaru because I live in New England and it's a requirement. Own my own home - buy my cars with cash. Never really considered an electric car, maybe someday. AMA

My 2020 Toyota Supra that I had bought right during the beginning of COVID. Had the basic bitch down pipe and tune mod with an ECUTEK tune since I had an unlocked ECU from factory. God damn was that car fast but well planted. Doesn’t feel like my Mustang where if I give it too much throttle I’ll fish tail into a crowd. I even recently drove a 911 Carrera 4S and that was comparable but twice the price. Don’t understand the 911 fan boys, at least at the price point I’m able to afford one. The Supra punches so much above its weight. Had to sell it for a down payment on my house at the time. Got more than what I paid. About two years later I bought a MK4 that I had at about 600whp. Didn’t like driving it. Too much clout and Edgar’s in Honda civics driving like maniacs trying to race me. Too much to worry about trying to find unobtainable parts for it. Nothing like having a new and extremely capable car. When the times right, I’ll get another.

    > because there aren’t any new EVs on the market that appeal to me. In fact, there aren’t really any new cars at all that appeal to me 100% this…which is funny because based on your comment we have different tastes in cars yet have the same problem. I’m down to try an EV but there is nothing comparable to my Mustang or any of the ICE cars I actually like. The closest is the Charger Daytona, which is exorbitantly expensive, compromised, and way bigger than I need or want in a vehicle as a single guy. Taycan is too expensive, Prelude is too slow, E-Ray is too expensive, and id take the bus before buying a Tesla. That leaves me with a laundry list of XUVs (hard no). Instant torque and low maintenance sounds great but more exciting options please.

In the famous Bullit chase scene, Steve McQueen’s Mustang changes up about 8 times with a double de clutch on each up shift. The sound guys were obviously not car guys.

Got a 26 Prius LTD for work earlier this year. Stuck a few cosmetic bits, 17x8 wheels and some Pirelli's on it, thing's fun to drive and saves me a lot on gas while being quiet and comfy. It's also incredibly funny how it's gotten more compliments than any of the Corvettes, Mustangs, even a Z3 I've owned. If you just want a basic car, Corolla. If you want a comfy cruiser, Camry. Something a bit more fun? Somehow it's the damn Prius now.
