Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

It should be, because it gives you more time to react and come up with a contingency plan. Also, there's nothing stopping basically any country in the world from producing their own batteries, unlike oil, which is naturally limited.
- Comment
Ideally you drive them cautiously up to temp. I personally usually only let it warm up for a minute or two. Not enough to build oil temp on the gauge, but enough to get everything moving. But with the oils they use now, its probably not as big of an issue as everyone seems to make it out to be.

> but the dependence issue is worse Dude, it's like opposite days with you, lol. The dependence is lower, as stuff like the Iran war raising oil prices has less effect on a country if a higher percentage of their cars are BEVs rather than ICE cars. You can generate electricity from solar, from wind, from hydro, etc. A country can become self sufficient if they can provide their own electricity and not have to depend on oil shipments from a war zone. For example, in some countries where solar is popular, owners of BEVs are using solar to charge their cars. Those owners are not as affected as much by rising gas prices because of the Iran war (ultimately, you can't avoid the effect of rising gas prices because it affects all sorts of products, but you can mitigate it).

> The interesting thing is, the political **aim is independence from oil, however we're now being addicted to batteries** instead. Lithium can be recycled. Carbon emissions? Not so much, at least not on any meaningful timescale... That's the fundamental difference.
- Comment
Yes, but as outlined that would require a lot more countries to stop production than batteries. I didn't say dependence on oil is all great and bulletproof. Fine for a while, but the new supply of all battery powered devices will dry up in months and replacement batteries for your devices are also gone.
