Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I can at least understand that. I don’t use them often (I live in a warm climate), but after a hard workday it’s nice to be indulgent and blast the AC and have the seat heater going. I wouldn’t specifically seek out seat heaters out again, but I like em while I have them. I like them a whole lot more than screens or traction control or all the weird sensor things. I’d take seat heaters before power windows or power locks, too.

I think my F11 LCI went too far on the screens by having a digital gauge cluster. The center screen is a good size and the I-drive kniv is a brilliant way to control everything.

You will just need to pay more for the car. Just like the TV example above. BMW isn't stupid, they still have to be market competitive. If they can sell you a car for a grand cheaper and you have to watch a 10 second mini commercial on the screen when you start the car, most people would be okay with that. It takes 10 seconds to get belted and put your phone in the slot and whatnot. I'm not talking about ads while you're driving

It never hurts their sales. People strive and stretch for a BMW cause it's a flex to their 100 insta followers. They will put up with stupid screens, ads, boring boosted powertrains, and cheap plastics as long as it has the BMW logo on the front.

Having owned both, it’s perhaps ironic that the latest 16” screen and processor are massively superior to those early Tesla screens. If they cost less that’s a win win for me.
