Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Canadians make less than Americans while paying 50% more for vehicles. Currency exchange rates shouldn’t be in these type of discussions. In 2016, I purchased a year old 3LZ Z06 with delivery mileage for $71,000. If I want to purchase a similar spec C8, it’s $180-190,000. More than doubled which isn’t the case in the US hence me saying you guys are extremely lucky. I could’ve purchased a Ferrari and a Lamborghini in Texas for the price I paid for my Escalade V ($280k). Y’all have it insanely good.

80% of the country lives in 'urban' areas in the US. So like, those large patches of open areas don't really matter from a car ownership percentage perspective

og tesla roadster w/ a prototype LSD & some other bits I think in some sense electric roadsters are the purer form of driving, manual transmissions are enjoyable abstractions but abstractions nonetheless, absolutely fantastic thing, all the good bits of the elise but w/ a touch of refinement, instant torque, just darts around, & still quiet enough to take in everything around you I've been shopping for once ever since but they are very, very finicky cars, Tesla has been generally quite good w/ supporting them, there are a few good specialists now, but you leave it sitting a little too long & it bricks the battery & its like $40k for a new 80kWh pack. & they didn't make all that many in the first place, there were a number of options, its difficult to get all the stars to align & alpine has rumored the A110 EV for the US, there were a few concepts from e.x. polestar here & there, Tesla themselves might get to version 2 production in the next decade, but to this day the only EV sports car that actually exists is the original Tesla roadster

Unfortunately not available in the US. In fact, there are a *lot* of EVs not available here.

Is there a single electric coupe sold in the US? No? There. That's why people are buying gas cars. It is insane to me how everyone shits on every car design, while simultaneously suggesting there is no reason to buy anything other than a hybrid Rav4. I would bet $100 OP is not from the US and certainly sees transportation as simply getting from point A to point B.
