   How long can you survive if you have no client income coming in? Can you live off 3 months of your savings? 6 months? A year? The longer your runway, the more feasible your plan of relocating will be. And I think you need to be quite clear about how much you'll be spending in Thailand or Bali. You'll be living in short-term accommodation, which will be more expensive than people on a yearly rental contract. You will need to cost in travel, e.g. visa renewals, border runs to get a clearer picture of what you'll spend. I get that you have the **desire** to go, but it will help a lot if you could turn that desire into a realistic plan for action.

   I wonder if the roles were reversed and she had an amazing job opportunity in another city, would she feel the same? Three months is nothing in the bigger scheme of things, it's a course in another location, a secondment, an extended holiday. Neither are wrong in this scenario, they just have different expectations and frankly, if she's not trusting him to be away for 3 months, I doubt she trusts him to go away for 3 days. So there isn't any trust to begin with and it's not a good basis for a relationship regardless of this situation.

   Hanging out in the thot capital of the world while you take 3 months to decide if you want a traditional career/family type life or to be a ronin.
