Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

> Are there bidding wars in Berlin? Can one get an apartment if you’re willing to go above asking price? (I live in Berlin for a while in the early 2000s, but was with the fam then, so I’ve been curious about moving back) Not really. If you agree to a rent above the rent cap, you can have it retroactively lowered. Same with extra fees to get the apartment. You can demand them back after the fact, so landlords keep them limited to a level they think they can get away with.

Girlfriend gave me an ultimatum: if I take a 3-month leave to test living abroad, she will leave me - I’m 27M, my girlfriend is 26F. We’ve been together for a while and I genuinely care about her, she’s a good woman. For many years (long before I met her) I’ve had a strong dream of living abroad and testing the digital nomad lifestyle. I currently have a stable full-time public service job in Canada and a growing freelance side business (Meta ads). I applied for a maximum 3-month leave (Leave with Income Averaging) from mid-January to mid-April 2027. The plan is to use Medellín, Colombia as a home base and do some side trips (Costa Rica, Peru, etc.) to test whether this lifestyle is something I want long-term, or if I’d rather keep the stable job, invest in a duplex with my brother, and aim for early retirement around 55.I am not on a long-term lease so I can leave my apartment. She cannot easily join me for financial reasons and other responsibilities, and she is locked into her own lease. She has now given me a clear ultimatum: if I go through with the 3-month leave, she will end the relationship. She doesn’t want the dynamic of being left alone, and she also doesn’t fully trust me yet because of some bad things I did in the past (I have completely stopped that behavior and have been working to rebuild her trust).I feel stuck and like an asshole. This dream is something I’ve wanted for many years. The leave is meant as a temporary test of my future direction, not a permanent abandonment. At the same time, I don’t want to lose a good relationship over it.I’m looking for honest opinions, especially from people who have faced similar choices between a long-held lifestyle dream and a relationship: * How would you weigh this? * Is going forward and accepting the risk of losing her the right move, or should I postpone/cancel the leave? * Any advice on how to handle the conversation or the trust issues? Please be straight with me. Thanks.

I don't think so, you are getting scammed. Europe regulates prices for student housing very strictly. Right now my cousin is living in a shared apartment (private room, shared kitchen and bathroom) in Tampere Finland for 260 euros amonth. I lived in the same kind of apartment in a different city, price was 280. So it didn't change for 10+ years. My rent in the NL for a private was 750, but government gave housing aid for more than 300. But aid was only given to private rooms. For shared room prices were around 400, so kind of the same thing anyway. I doubt it changes too much now. The main problem is that there is no slot available.

Finding an apartment in Antalya for 1 month - Anyone has suggestions to find a furnished apartment for rent in Antalya for September? Airbnb and Booking prices are absolutely insane. I'm sure there are local short-term rentals with much more reasonable offers

It's more just greed from the owners. There's a reason you see all these temporary winter rentals. Usually apartments in coastal areas which are owned by families living in land. They don't want to sell them, and don't want them to be residential homes. Think Santa Pola, with the owners living in Elche, and places like that. Cambrils, with the family owners living in Barcelona etc..
