In the same boat, Spain is deffo an option but get caught out with the 3 month Schengen rule if you’re a UK passport. Balkans are great and deffo cheap enough for your salary, beaches in Albania and Montenegro are great… but cold in the winter obvs. Bali and Asia options if you don’t mind the time difference. Personally like Georgia Batumi (beach) and Tbilisi (city life)

It's important and definitely influences where/when I go significantly but isn't definitively a make-or-break. I don't mind any amount of cold or rain, but I'm a goth (pale AF and everything I own is black) so I avoid the sun/heat whenever possible.

Good luck I hope it works out for you. I’m a city boy so Paris is probably the only place I could live, but I wouldn’t want to. Cold even in Summer, I don’t speak French nor do I want to and the city is expensive. With that said, I visited Paris for a couple of days and had a lovely time. Pretty city

I would love year round tropical weather. Or at least somewhere that is going to be hot when it's cold in the mid Atlantic usa
